Specials "Dividends"

______________________________________________________

BEAM specials include physical education, art, library and media, and technology.  Each of the specials are designed to enhance student learning and achievement through classroom extension activities.  Specials teachers work with other classroom teachers to incorporate ideas and concepts from the core subjects into their class.  In addition, specials teachers act as advisers in several different after school programs.

Specials Staff

Damion Woods - Physical Education -I have been teaching for 9 years, all of which have been at BEAM.  I graduated from Bemidji State University.  My favorite quote is "good is not good enough when you can do better."  Outside of BEAM I enjoy anything with sports.

Jordan Brunner - Physical Education - I am one of two Physical Education teachers at BEAM.  This is my fourth year of teaching since graduating from Concordia University in 2007.  At Concordia I majored in K-12 Education as well as Physical Education.  I also graduated with a minor in athletic coaching, adaptive physical education, and health education.  This is my first year at BEAM.  I am truly enjoying my time here at BEAM.  When I'm not here instructing students, I'm usually playing volleyball or softball.  I also enjoy riding my motorcycle, playing guitar, and fishing.  My favorite quote for teaching is, "A self-taught man usually has a poor teacher and a worse student."

Carolyn Parks - Art - Mrs. Parks has been teaching at BEAM for 6 years.

Alicia Cegers - Library and Media - Mrs. Cegers has been teaching at BEAM for 10 years.

Andrew Caston - Technology - Mr. Caston has been working at BEAM for 3 years.
